MN STAR Program's A.T. Lab

Double Robot

Last week, we took a tour of the Assistive Technology (A.T.) Lab at the MN STAR Program, where people can try out and borrow a wide variety of A.T. We had a great time seeing and learning about new A.T.!

The A.T. we saw included the Double Robot (my favorite), which is a segway-like device with an iPad attached. This device allows students to attend class from home. We also saw Sesame Enable, which is an Android app that uses head tracking. Another cool thing we saw was the Apple HomeKit, which is still being tested but hopefully will be released to the public sometime next year.

Thanks so much, STAR, for the tour! Go to the A360 Facebook page to see more photos! And feel free to check out the Lab for yourself!
