Global Accessibility Awareness Day (GAAD) logoInterested in learning about digital access? You won’t want to miss the sixth Global Accessibility Awareness Day (GAAD), Thursday, May 18, 2017! As the name implies, GAAD, which was inspired by a blog post written by Los Angeles-based web developer Joe Devon, aims to increase awareness around the crucial issue of digital access and inclusion.

Throughout the day, there will be various events in select areas around the world (click for a listing of events). Our friends at Clockwork are hostingĀ an event with WeCo in Minneapolis, Accessibility After Work, on GAAD from 4-7 p.m. at the Clockwork Annex Building. Assistive technology such as JAWS screen reader software and iPhone VoiceOver will be demonstrated at this event.

Want to do something for GAAD but don’t know what? Learn about other GAAD activities here. After all, everyone should be involved with GAAD in one way or another!
